A sterling silver mid-century tie bar in an open work stepped design.  It is very similar in shape and design to the zipper style model by the same maker.  The design is great in that allows a flash of the tie to be seen through the center.  This piece is made by one of the finest names in silver, the Danish silversmith; Georg Jensen.  The Jensen firm was started by Georg in 1904, and remains one of the finest silver makers still in production today.  The piece is marked with the post 1945 Jensen mark, as well as Denmark and Sterling and the model number 59.  Made in Denmark, Circa 1960.
